Good morning

        We have been running the beta version of sendmail for several weeks now and have just started to notice that some messages are not being sent. Looking at syslog.log I find 'Bad file number' at the end of the entry, which also has a
STAT of deferred. I am trying to figure out if the problem is something that has surfaced in sendmail or if it might
be due to some network changes that are underway. The problem started about the time the network changes started, but
I am having trouble saying that they are causing the 'Bad file number' error.

The current syslog.log file is included so the exact messages can be seen. The gethostbyaddr errors have been there and have not been a problem in the past.
