Tom,

Another option is to create a "job router" that selects what jobs to stream
based on the day of the week (if hpdate = 1 then do Sunday stuff). I always
create the "job router" as a separate job that is streamed by the backup.
That way I can comment it out easily when I want just a backup for things
like system eminence, etc. If you use TurboStore on-line feature you can
even make the "job router" your notify job. Again, simply and no added
costs :)

This looks like the simplest option for what your looking to do(I'm
a big fan of simple, and free.). We did this at my last site. Just make sure
your tape drives are setup for autoreply.
If your "daily" jobs vary from day to day streaming from the backup
job may not work for you. Another option is to set the limits low, stream
your daily jobs out there and then have the backup job raise the job limit
at the end of the backup. This is how we ran our over night production for
years, without an operator on site.

Harpreet,

Try "stream backup;at=23:00". You can then cause other jobs, such
your
daily jobs, to be streamed out of the backup by adding "stream" commands to
it right before the "!eoj" command.

Hi All,

Is their any way we can schedule a backup. So before living the office mount
a tape in tape drive. Then backup will start at the scheduled time. Now our
operators are working upto 21:00 and after backup we are running some daily
scheduled jobs. So operators have to wait for up to 23:00.

If it is possible I can save 2 hrs for them.

With Warm Regards

Harpreet Singh Chana
