Okay, I think I have this one figured out as well....
I checked the script and it was calling find in one of its subroutines. A
subroutine in which I had made no changes whatsoever.
So,
I decided to punt and go back to the original script. Now to get the
original script I have to FTP it from our "real" web site, and then edit it
to change the first line of the script (yes, Mark, it was changed to
"#!/PERL/PUB/perl"). Now I was using WordPad on the PC to change it, then
using Samba to transfer the script to the 3K. And there in lies the
problem, because the original script with only the first line changed failed
with the same error as before.
So,
I FTP'd the script directly from the "real" web site to the 3K and edited it
using vi (yuck!) and it runs perfectly well.
So,
It appears that the PC editor "whacked" the file. Guess I'll be a vi expert
now...
