Shortly after merging HP/COMPAQ will become compact/HP as they drop popular
server lines such as the HP e3000, VAX, etc.    quoting Carly ("through

Years later as Compact/HP continues to grow by acquiring other companies,
the name will changed to Kodakcompact/HP  a merging of the
printing/photography process.  Approved by shareholders in 2010 as HP
exists from the PC and server market.
