Not true, Donna. As account manager (AM) you can use LISTACCT to see your
own account information including capabilities. This will save you a lot of
chocolate.

not that anyone really gave you an incorrect answer...but i don't think
your question was properly answered...
most mpe software vendors have an 'account set-up' script that's
included with each distribution of their code. if their code requires
a certain capability...the script makes sure the program's group has
that capability. also, if a (new?) group is required for your
application, it's this script that should be responsible for building
the group. basically it's just sanity checking.
to see your developement environment, as the account manager (am), you
can see the capabilities of all groups under your account (listgroup).
if you also have the system manager logon (or have enough money or
chocolate to bribe your sm :-), you can see the capabilities for your
account (listacct). - d
