Wow, I remember that snow storm oh too well. I was attending class at the Data
General site and it to over 8 hours to go from there to my hotel in Framingham.
If I remember correctly we got 42" of snow in a 24 hour period and it closed the
whole eastern half of the state down for the remainder of the week. It took 3
days before the snow compacted down enough for me to find my rental car and dig
it out. On the positive side my hotel had just got a food and liquor delivery
on the morning of the storm. When I got back to the hotel I sure did enjoy the
HOT shower, Steak and bottle of wine. ;-) I'm loving this thread, I worked on
DG equipment for 6 years in the late 70s and early 80s. Brings back a lot of
memories.

Steve

I had the pleasure of visiting the Data General headquarters during the GREAT
(and I mean *great*) Boston snow storm of February 1978. Edson de Castro (just
before the storm, of course) would fly in and out in his helicopter. We chatted
in a "creative" mixture of Portuguese and Spanish.

Thanks for bringing back fond memories, John.
