Hi all,
As we grope towards the 21st century, I need some of your valuable help. I am not a
network person so apologies for the dumb questions and please forgive me if this is old
ground which you all did 5 years ago. We currently run terminals & PC/emulators thru
HP2335 PADs in remote locations over public X.25 network to X.25 Cards in a DTC... The
dept. PC's connect in thru serial cards to the DTC....normal serial interface stuff. We
need to move into the PC age so.....
1. Assuming I connect the HP to the LAN hub, what do I need to run on the HP3000(4.0
going to 5.5) &/or on the Netware Server (4.1) to connect them.
2. I'd also like to connect a remote LAN or a remote standalone PC to our PC LAN/HP in
the Computer Department. This will be using TCP/IP, yes?
Can I still use the HP2335's? I get conflicting advice here.
If Yes..how?, if No.. what do I need?
TIA,
Simon Lewis.
