I've got two *large* zip-lock bags of serial connectors/adapters for what used
to be on a Series 70. They are the black RS-232 and RS-422 adapters, that look
like a PC DB-9 connector, but instead of 9 pins only have 3 pins (232?) or 5
pins (422?). The other side is either a telephone 6-lead (RJ-14?) or 8-lead
(RJ-45?). We installed these on the backplane of the Series 70, used cable to a
punchdown block with RJ-45 sockets, Centronics 100pair to the phone room, etc,
etc, etc. Very nice units, we were able to reconfigure port assignments by
plugging/unplugging, once the infrastructure was all punched-down.
I'd swear they are Ortronics, they must have cost about $18-$22/per when new,
and I've had them in my home office for about the last 6 years. I've been
holding onto them, figuring someone would want them sooner or later. If noone
wants them, I'm about ready to recycle them.
If anybody needs a gross of these, and are willing to pay shipping (plus a
reasonable amount for my effort of packing and shipping them), feel free to
e-mail me.
Thanks!
Steve B.
