Of course, one must ask whether you want real gigabytes (2^30 bytes) or
disc-drive-salesman (read "liar") gigabytes!

Well, since there are 256 bytes per sector, and a gigabyte is 2^30 bytes
( 1,073,741,824 bytes ) there are 4,194,304 sectors per gigabyte.  So
number of sectors/4194304 should give gigabytes.  And gigabytes x 4194304
should give number of sectors.
