Although there are easy workarounds for almost all of Gavin's concerns, what
really surprises me is that I had no idea that there was a market for "snide
and insulting" error messages.
We've always tried to put in as helpful and informative a set of error
messages into QueryCalc as we possibly could -- but we genuinely lost a sale
once simply because a trial copy user thought QueryCalc was both unhelpful and
insulting when it said:
This query question requires a SERIAL search of 482051 records.
This could take some time. A CHAINED search is preferable, if
possible. Do you wish to use this question or rewrite it?
