Alain,
I posted a similar message a couple of weeks ago. I haven't got
much further with this, but what I'm experimenting with is the port of
REXEC I got from the Telamon ftp site. From a batch job, I can run REXEC
with a host name, a user name, and a command to execute on the remote host.
The only glitch I've seen is that you are always prompted for a password,
even if the remote user doesn't have a password. Other than that, it seems
to work fine. I've done some trivial testing, sending a file to the remote
host, running a program on the remote host that creates an output file, then
picking up the output file for more processing on the 3000. So far, so good,
Good luck, Bob Rose
