Without seeing the code, or using Debug, my first thought is that
one of the reference parameters to FFILEINFO is "bad", or that
you've passed FFILEINFO a file number associated with a privileged
file (e.g., file 3).

However, when I try both of the above, I get a slightly different error.

I'd suspect from the text above that your program aborted. If this is the
case, try:

:setdump

and then run the program ... if it aborts, you should get a stack trace,
which you should then post here.
