As you might expect, I received over 25 private responses and a couple of
phone calls to last evening's posting. Ordinarily, when I receive this kind
of response, I generally have to apologize to everyone and not answer any of
them, especially when everyone of them deserves a well reasoned reply.

However, this time I'm going to try and answer them all individually. I
estimate that this will require me to work through to Friday afternoon, thus
if you don't get a response right away, please be patient.

A common theme in many of the responses was though, "What do we do now?" I'll
try and lay out several of the possible scenarios this weekend in a follow-up
posting to HP3000-L.
