I may be off base here, but if you do a restore to out.hpspool, you may
run into a problem where the spool ID you are restoring already exists
on the system (spool id was reset). Been too many years since I did a
restore, so take this as just a WAG.

I honestly can't recall the reasoning right now, but I would restore the
spoolfile to a local group and then:
:SPOOLF <filename>;PRINT
where filename is the restored file, O1234. You can also add ;DEV=;PRI,
etc as
needed. Do a :HELP SPOOLF for all of the options.
