Apollo 10 was the first landing on the moon, in every sense except actually
landing on the moon. It was the practice run for Apollo 11. Because it was
the test run to see if all of the half-decade's planning and all of the
designed machinery actually worked, it was more of a nail-biter than Apollo
11 actually was.

But basically Apollo 10 landed on the moon, at least close enough for
govenment work.
