8 or 9 years ago, HP helped me configure a Micro-xe to use a DDS of 922 to
backup the system using HP/IP cable to be connected only at the time of the
backup. This didn't affect the operation of the 922 in anyway other than the
DDS won't be available to it while in use by the micro. As you have an
external DDS, configure your system to use it or to share with other systems
if they are located close to the old system.
