Hello all! We've had some situations on our systems in which it would have
been nice to have an automated way of changing user queues, aborting or
restreaming jobs, etc. I got to looking through our documentation, and I found
that Scope does many of those sorts of things; it looked like a pretty good bet.

I called the Response Center for some assistance, and the folks there told me
authoritatively, that the Scope alarms in 5.0 didn't work. He said that there were
2 S/Rs generated one to exclude the alarms part from the documentation,
another to fix the problem. He told me further that there had been no move to fix
it, or decide to remove it from the documentation.

My real question is: is this guy right? Has anyone gotten the Scope Alarms to
work in 5.0? Glitches bother me some, but if this thing really doesn't work, that
sets off some alarms of my own.
