Mr. Perdue,
Back in 1993 in version 5.something of Amisys PREFETCH caused a problem
within a SuperTool routine. I can't remember if it was in a membership job
of Batch Claims Processing (BCP100). Amisys, then still AIH, claimed that
PREFETCH was the problem. I disagreed at the time but we set PREFETCH to
DISABLE. In later versions of Amisys this "issue" disappeared.
HP has been saying for years now that PREFETCH ENABLE should be the default
and has urged everyone to set it on. I haven't used Amisys since version 10
but I encountered no problems when I last did. Amisys seems to have complied
with HP standards. (Insert oxymoron joke here.)
