Quite true.  vt100 emulation is *much* more robust in posix (I believe the
only "officially supported" types are "hp2392a" and "ansi" though).
 
Still, *unconditionally* exporting TERM=hp2392a and TZ=GMT0 is pretty weird,
especially since in the script they could "assign if not already defined".
