I'm new to the HP3000 scene and I'm still learning the ropes. Does anyone
out there know how to purge a file that is "stuck open" it has no processes
attached and no sessions associated with it, yet when I attempt to purge it,
the file is "In use". Can someone give me a clue or perhaps some insight
into something I am missing?
 Thanks,

Do the following first
:LISTFILE filename,9
See if anyone has the file open
If no one does, then
:PURGE filename
report the exact message back to the list if it doesn't purge
