I just updated to 'a2.0', and it still hangs. I assume someone designed this 'Thing', shouldn't that person know what the problem really is. Computer hardware is not mystical or magical, it's more logical and predictable. The problem and the solution are all in to code.

I sincerely hope the designer of this 'Thing' will find the problem in the code, and release another firmware update. Until then it will remain disconnected the HP-e3000. Not going have to any flakey hardware related to the reliable consistent HP-e3000. I 'll also need to rationalize or explain the fact that I spent (bought two of'em) money on junk, absolute JUNK! Thank You HP.

Automatically power cycled twice a day. That reminds me of the guy who decided to run his Mfg company on the MS Jet database engin. He had schedule nightly processes to repair all of his databases, every night. His thinking was that he had one or two databases become corrupted everyday. Not knowing which ones would be corrupted tomorrow, only that it probably (50/50 chance) wouldn't be the DB's that were repaired yesterday. He decided to repair all of'em every night. This gave him 50/50 odds that all his applications would be running tomorrow.

The moral to the story:
Why used the MS Jet database engin when we have Turbo Image DBMS?
Likewise, why use a console that hangs all the time, consistently, when we have the HP700/xx that is work all the time, consistently?

SWC, Sure to be Worthless (but cost money) Console!

Today's rev is A2.00 but does NOT fix the hanging problem.
If you have the typical symptoms the SWC will answer a ping
but not download the scripts. Some people have put their SWC
on remote rebooting devices. A couple of creative folks have
put their SWC on an appliance timer so the box will get power
cycled a couple of times a day.
