My apologies if this has been covered before, but after searching
HP3000-L for "FTPSRVR" I didn't see anything definitive in the perused
results.
Q: Is it possible to successfully run the FTP listener process "FTPSRVR"
under INETD, rather than running the "FTPMON" listener process in it's
own job?
I know the latter works (and works well now that all my systems are on
"C.55.04") but the more listener processes I can tuck under INETD --
rather than run as a separate background job -- the merrier my
Operations folks get. I've seen on the list that FTPSRVR apparently
doesn't work, but Raghuram says you can.
What's the scoop?
Curtis
PS - Didja hear the one about the three holes in the ground? No?
Well, well, well...
