Dear Jim and other Netters,

Dynamic configuration of DTC is a new feature in MPE 5.5, in most of the
older versions of MPE it is/was not possible.

Greetings,

Jan Gerrit Kootstra.

May MPE survive the year 2k, for it still runs ok.

Well, I feel really strange and I may show my ignorance here, but I have to

correct Wirt's response in just a teeny, tiny little bit:

Wirt says:

>Yes. Changes you make in NMMGR aren't transferred to the DTC without doing

Maybe prior to MPE/iX 5.5. I'm on 5.5 and I have made numerous changes to
DTC configs in NMMGR, including defining an entirely new DTC. In every
case
I was able to activate the new config by doing a RESET on the DTC in
TERMDSM within SYSDIAG. The reset performs a code download to the DTC (it
also aborts all the other users on that DTC's ports) and thereby activates
the new config.
