The real fix is to ask whoever is in charge of zip.m.gz to please repackage the
archive using either tar or :STORE-to-disk.

MOVER is an evil little program, and there are multiple incompatible versions,
and it can cause data corruption under certain limited circumstances for files
with really big record lengths.

Just say "NO!" to MOVER and use tar or :STORE-to-disk instead.
