Patrick Mullen (a member of Adager's Worldwide Support Team) just did
an experiment:

:dbdriver
DBDRIVER C.05.00   MON, JAN 27, 2003,  7:58 AM  (C) HEWLETT-PACKARD 1978

Command: !b=date2
Command: !q=;
Command: !m=3
Command: o
Elapsed time (MS) = 674                 CPU = 222
Baseid=%000001  Class=64   Current DBG size=32767   DBU size=32767
Command: !q=cust
Command: !m=1
Command: !a=+1
Command: F
Elapsed time (MS) = 20                  CPU = 19
SPECIFIED INTRINSIC CANNOT ACCESS THE DATA SET
Command: X

TURBOIMAGE ERROR AT $000152a8; RETURN STATUS = -21
DBFIND, MODE 1, ON cust OF date2
SPECIFIED INTRINSIC CANNOT ACCESS THE DATA SET

Note that "cust" is a manual master dataset and the command "F"
("DBFIND") produces the same result that Vamsi Sudha gets.

If you issue a DBFIND on a master dataset, IMAGE returns
status "-21".

For more info on the proper use of DBFIND, please use your browser's
"find" command to look for "dbfind" in this paper, which I wrote a
few years ago:

Case solved :-)
