What does "pre-loaded" mean Duane? From what I gather from press reports,
the difficult and time consuming thing about getting SAP up and running is
deciding how to configure it. Does IBM configure SAP for me, or have the
simply done the equivalent of restoring a product tape -- a 10 minute job,
which makes the pre-load claim marketing hype?

The unsurprising thing is: even the only thing that IBM has done is put the
product on the system and shaved 10 minutes off your SAP implementation,
someone will fall for the pre-loaded marketing ploy: i.e., it will generate
inquiries (especially among unsuspecting CEOs and CFOs) and perhaps sales.

There'd probably be a similar, unsurprising side effect of SAP running on
the HP3000: there'd be more interest in the 3K since, after all, if it can
run SAP then it must be OK...

Ahhh, marketing...
