While I do not know by heart if this also covers the NSDIR part,
there is some batch/command line interface for NMMGR (which I do
sometimes enjoy to use)...

:FILE NMMGRCMD=$STDINX
:NMMGR
>OPENCONF NMCONFIG.PUB.SYS
>SUMMARYCONF ALL

Being not at the office at present, I do not know if/where it is
documented. I did use it once (long ago) to setup a number of DTC
LDEVs with the FILE equation pointing to a series of NMMGR commands
that had been created by some command file loop (counting DTCs, SICs
and ports up and contructing appropriate LDEV numbers).

I still hope that someone might try this interface to build some
nice CGI script around it and finally giving NMMGR a web interface
this way... (first version might be read-only...)
