Howdy,

Yep, we used XOVER back about ummm '93-'94 or so.  First one
they shipped us broke.  They sent us a patched/fixed version
which worked well but wouldn't handle data compression on our
DDS1 target drive :-(

Upshot of the whole thing was we never used it, we picked up
an extra disc drive (maybe it was 2) and wrote the 9 track to
disc then STOREd the disc files.  It was a bonafide hassle but
worked.
