If you set it up correctly, you can still click an icon on your desktop, and
have it open up in a terminal window and close that window on exit.  Simple
to do, and you don't have to remember any of that command line stuff.  You
might want to look at the program 'screen' (
http://www.gnu.org/software/screen/) to use in conjunction with 'freevt3k'
also.
