It is true that they may be reduced, actually more likely than not, but not
necessarily so.  Any problem with finding the optimum capacity within a
narrow desired range?

On the other hand, increasing capacity substantially will increase unused
space in the dataset substantially, and therefore wasting disk cache to some
degree, depending on factors not given.
