I got this info from a Y2K newsletter I subscribe to. I did see the
analyzer on the MS web site, but never saw a thing about the Y2K
patch for Win95. I do agree with this author about the MS Y2K web
site. It is very difficult to navigate and finding answers to
seemingly simple questions (like, Is Windows 95 Y2K-compliant?) is
an excerise in web futility.

>There were two piecs of news from Microsoft this week that may be of
>interest to users of their products. The Redmond, Wash. company announced
>that it will release a new "patch" to make its Windows 95 operating system
>entirely Y2K compliant. Windows 95 runs on more than 125 million desktops
>worldwide. Microsoft also released a free "Y2K products Analyser" that
>will scan all your Microsoft applications and give you a report on what
>steps may be needed to prepare for 2000. I haven't tried this tool yet,
>but it sounds much easier than trying to understand the Microsoft Y2K
>website.
