If you have MPEX you can xltrim the files to take back some space

ALTFILE @.GROUP.ACCOUNT(SAVABLE >32),XLTRIM,KEEPAMDATES

The above command would not change the access and modify dates on the files so you can still run listings for old junk by dates.
