The problem isn't that the previous administration gave the N. Koreans
everything they want. The problem is that previous administration gave the
N. Koreans absolutely nothing. The deal was stop producing weapons grade
*plutonium* and the kindly western powers will build "safe nuclear power
plants." The promised power plants were not completed. The N. Koreans then
started to enrich uranium and we are now in a new standoff.

There is a weapons race going on all over the world. The US was the first
nation to unilaterally abrogate a nuclear treaty this century, the ABM. The
N. Koreans followed the US "tough guy" lead. The fact that the N. Koreans
are a part of the weapons race is deplorable. At least the US had the good
grace to be able to keep its population from starving to death before
putting it into harms way of being nuked to death.

Let Peace be the maxim by which we act because we will Peace to become a
universal law.
