Two thoughts come to mind: RTFM or if the cd-rom is to be
internal, try KY jelly.
 
Seriously, if you have the C1503 or C1504 dat (half-height) then
the cd-rom is very easy to install.  If you have the C1502 full
height dat, then get the C1504 and enjoy faster backups.
 
Configuring with SYSGEN is virtually a plug and play.
