I won't bother you with my opinion of the annoying bogus
error messages in log.smb written by the hp supported samba
version ;-)

The Samba 2.x versions have "security=user" as default, where
Samba 1.9.x versions had "security=share" -- if your smb.conf
does not have a "security=" line, you need to add one.
