HP doesn't manufacture their systems in-house any more. Maybe that
has something to do with it. . .

Thank you to all who responded to my query concerning SMP boxes. I
was concerned because we're making a decision about going to SMP,
and three different people reported processor failures within a two-day
period on this list. However, I have heard from dozens of people who
have been running 9X9 & 99X systems with multiple processors and no
(processor) problems for as long as two years. In fairness I must report
that I did hear from one more person who did have a processor fail on a
9X9. We're going ahead with our plans, just a bit of an eye-opener.
