if the account already exists and a user is just creating a new group then
you may want to apply the 'files=0' to create a 'newgroup;files=10' instead.

Just a thought.

the newaccount udc will do just that (add the 'files=0' clause) so that you
don't have to remember this lovely subtlety :-)

beyond that, the current version (b.10 ?) of the udc will even allow you to
reserve (a small amount of, ideally) space on the system volume.  why?  if
your
new account need posix directories directly below the account (eg, at group
'level') you need a small amount of space on the system volume due to how
posix
was implemented.  the operative word is 'small' :-)  the udc-only clause to
accomplish this is ';sysfiles='.                - d
