Here's a link for a modem cable.

But, since you are only using pins 2,3, & 7 you can ignore the other pinouts.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Pins for 2563A serial to Print Server

I wonder if anyone can help.

I have an old HP2563A printer which has been hooked up to an HP3000 via a DTC in the past.

I now want to attach it to the network using a print server.

However, the printserver has a 9-pin connection whereas the serial connection on the printer is a 25-pin.

Can anyone help me with the pinouts for the 9-pin to the 25-pin so I can get this printer to work on the network?

Thanks,

John Dunlop
