Due to cascading damage resulting from a blown high-voltage transformer
supplying the bulk of campus, UTC.EDU was "off the map" from
approximately 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM EDT today. Unfortunately,
Hunter Hall, which houses our primary computing and network operations
center, is close to the bottom of the distribution chain, and we were
the last building to regain power. The failure occurred just before
2:00 PM, and our core UPS drained around 3:00, bringing down the
routers.

All is more or less back to normal now after some delay recovering some
servers (raven included) which don't fully recover automatically.

Apologies for the inconvenience.
