Tony -

If you're in a quandary similar to mine (separation of duties says that I
may not have SM or PM, even when I HAVE to have it.... grrrr), you might
try my work-around.

First, I'd alter the source group/account so that read access is ANY (ok,
so you can turn that on and off if your auditors don't like that being
open). The easiest thing is to simply log in the destination group and
account and pull the darned thing(s). No ACDs, no fancy stuff. However,
presuming that group/account is restricted, you can set up a batch
jobstream which can perform the pull. If you have MAESTRO (which is my
unlikely ace in the hole), that jobstream can use a SM user, even password
protected, but which MAESTRO will resolve if you SUBmit the batch job. I
have to copy databases all over the map, including across multiple boxes.
This works just fine for me (and yes, I do everything in the world under
MPEX - Couldn't do my job without it).

Of course, if your environment is plain-vanilla without any of the critical
tools, you're back to the previous problem.
