DTC-connected printer as only LP/6?

My LP device class currently includes a DTC-connected LPQ800 as ldev 6, and
a networked LJ8000 as ldev 901.  I want to remove 901 from the LP device
class, but IOCONFIG complains when I try to do so, because it doesn't think
ldev 6 exists.  How can I fix this?
