My wife found (somehow) a bar of soap that has more than a
passing relationship to our beloved hp3000. Here are some
of the printed notes on the bar's wrapper, with my comments
indented a couple of spaces.
Provence Sante.
I wrote "Sante" without the accent, for Stan Sieler's sake ;-)
Pour les hommes -- for men.
Savon Vegetal -- Pure Vegetable Soap.
Why did the English translators feel they had to add
the qualifier "pure"?
Verlaine -- Vervail & Linden.
Triple milled with flecks of seaweed for a smooth wash.
Note: This "Triple milled" expression brought back memories
of our beloved "three thousand" -- indirectly, through
various linguistic transformations.
A mildly erotic and definitely poetic fragrance favored by
everyone from construction workers to interior decorators.
Note: This "wide-appeal spectrum" brought back images
of the tremendous breadth of applications that have
thrived on the hp3000.
Usage: Unwrap. Add water. Lather. Place on well-drained
dish. Rinse. (Don't over do it.)
HP "hp3000 marketing" certainly subscribed to this belief:
"Don't over do it" ;-)
Cleanly yours,
