before you throw out the june edition of hpworld :-)
let me suggest you take a look at the article on
page 27 about the changes coming to the esc.

since i have the (mis?)fortune of living in the bay area :-)

hp invited me down to mountain view to take a look at
the new esc.  the article gives a decent overview of the
stuff coming...at the end of july, i think...?  looks like
hp's got another brave new world instore for us.  wanna
place a non-urgent support call?  hp going to start
(gently?) encouraging folks to use the esc.  and just
so you'll know - yes, i whined and complained (:-)
excessively about including 3000 information in the
knowledge base.  let me know (publically's fine..)
