I don't know if anyone else publicly or privately corrected Tracy's
response,
but to add great confusion to the original question, there were two John
Backus'es on the HP3000 list at one time. They just spelled their names
slightly
differently: John and Jon, if I remember correctly.

I don't believe that the Backus at Beechglen is the the one that Christian
is
asking for.
