Tape system: HP Surestore 24GB DSS3 DAT Drive using the HP
Colorado Backup II & One-Button Backup.

Unfortunately i have been using the system for about 1.5 years and thinking i
was doing the correct thing. Had a major crash and found none of the tapes i
was saving for backups were any good.

Further i found a user manual which sucks as it presumes you can produce a
quality tape to then use their one button backup. Only problem is they never
explain how to produce that quality tape. I am looking for manuals on that
system and when calling HP i found them to be clueless. Their best
suggestion was for me to call technical support and pay them $25.00 to tell
me they probably do not have any manuals....

If you know of a source for quality manuals that explain how to produce
tapes and what to do when overwriting tapes, etc. please let me know i would
appreciate that.
