It's a privilaged file - you can purge with MPEX, and that's about it, or
write a program yourself to do it.

Where are you when you try to purge the file. You have to sign on as
the creator of the file, to purge it.
Later.

Subject: Privaleged files that RoadRunner creates
Can anyone help me?
RoadRunner creates a privileged file when using your own file
for a date
file like so -
>partial to *bk
>datefile mydate
(the date file holds the dates of the last full & partial
backup, etc.)
When trying to purge in MPE
COMET: purge mydate
PRIVILEGED FILE VIOLATION (FSERR 45)
Unable to purge file "MYDATE.SHIRL.DEVELOP". (CIERR 384)
COMET:
Does anyone know how to purge this file? I tried to purge within
RoadRunner
as well, similar results.
All help is appreciated. Thank you.
