Hi Kathleen

I think I have one of your butter dishes...... so perhaps I'm on there.

Google yields:
        http://www.afd.co.uk/refiner2.htm
which looks worth an investigation.

Runs on a Windows PC - 9x/ME/XP or NT/2000.

It supports ODBC, so there's a strong chance it can be persuaded to
update your data in situ on your HP3000, assuming it's in an Image
database, or something similarly accessible.

Costs £99 a month on an ongoing, updated, basis; other deals are
available there (outright purchase, etc...)

I guess we're talking industrial-strength post-code cleaning here -
matching against actual addresses, and not just ensuring all your
postcodes have a valid format, yes?

I used to have a one-line VPLUS MATCH statement that did the latter, but
I guess I've lost it.... :-(
