It CANNOT run under inetd because sendmail does its own listen()/accept()
socket calls.

When inetd invokes a server program, it has already done the listen()/accept().

It might be possible to get it working under Vesoft BACKG, as long as you get
the proper runtime identities (POSIX user and POSIX group).
