A thinLAN (coaxial to twisted pair AUI) is a rare thing. While I do have one, most folks with older HP3000's probably have a thickLAN to twisted pair AUI. This would have been used on older HP3000's instead of the thinLAN. See (http://www.cablesandkits.com/hplink-aui-to-10baset-ethernet-transceiver-hp853-p-1295.html)
The DTC16 probably has a thickLAN port. If it does, you will have to pull out the main card on the DTC and switch a dip switch (located between the coax and thickLAN ports.)
IMPORTANT: Be sure to unplug the DTC before working on it and be sure you use electrostatic precautions.
Just out of curiousity, why are you still using DTCs?

I had DTC16 connected to my old 969 using thinlan cable...
The new A500 does not have thinlan connection... How do I connect my DTC16 to this machine?
Any help or direction will be appreciated.
Thanks a million
Greg
