I had the same problem. HP doesn't (or at least didn't) sell the cables
to go with the DTC 16's. We had custom cables made up from the manuals
that came with the DTC 16 and have been living happily ever after.

Try to contact your HP Customer Service Engineer to see if you can get
an advance copy of the pin-outs to supply to your cable-maker. This will
help you take delivery of both at the same time and smooth the
implementation process.
